Upload a Document to Your Wallet and Send It

The Wallet is your secure digital vault, where you can store documents and files with complete security.

You can upload your documents to the Wallet and share them via SMS, with the mathematical certainty that only the intended recipient’s phone number will be able to access them.

Additionally, you can request a digital signature on the sent document, ensuring its authenticity and legal validity.

In this video, we’ll show you how to upload a document or file to your Wallet and send a secure link.
Only the recipient who enters the correct OTP (One-Time Password) will be able to view the document.

Wallet – Upload a Document and Request a Signature

Our 3FG digital signature stands out from traditional solutions.

The main difference between an Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) and our technology lies in the fact that GenioSms does not act as a certification authority, but instead provides users with a software system capable of generating certified signature evidence, which is also integrated into SMS communication logs.

For Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES), there is a list of qualified trust service providers authorized by AgID (the Italian Digital Agency) who offer this service. The AES has full legal validity and is equivalent to a handwritten signature.

However, applying an AES digital signature usually requires only the input of a one-time password (OTP) received via SMS, a method we consider to be relatively weak and potentially vulnerable. By contrast, our 3FG digital signature generates undeniable and secure proof of signing.

You’ve probably encountered a situation where you were asked to sign a document using an Advanced Electronic Signature (AES): you simply enter a code received via SMS, and the document is considered signed, with full legal effect. The problem is that, quite often, the signer doesn’t even view the document before signing it.

With GenioSms 3FG Digital Signature, this cannot happen. The document to be signed is first sent via SMS. Our GenioDoc algorithm generates a fingerprint, a unique digital imprint that unmistakably identifies that specific document.

Only after the document has been downloaded and reviewed, and the signer has been informed of its contents, can the signature be completed by sending an SMS containing the fingerprint. The signature must then be approved by the counterparty, who in turn receives an SMS confirming the signature.

Both parties therefore possess concrete, verifiable evidence: the exchanged SMS messages remain stored in the phone records, which are legally admissible as proof. It is impossible to falsify a GenioSms 3FG signature, since the entire process is based on a traceable exchange of messages between the parties.

Additionally, to complete the procedure, the signer must upload an identity document and take a selfie directly with their device’s camera, providing an additional level of security and authenticity.

In the following video, we’ll show how to configure the uploaded document so that the recipient can not only view it but also digitally sign it.

In the video below, showing the smartphone screen, we see how the user interacts when receiving the digital signature request.
