Subscription to a List via SMS
Manual Upload of Phone Numbers into a List
List Subscriptions via SMS (OK and DEL)
As specified in our control panel, you can add one or more branches of your company.
During the initial registration, the first branch is automatically generated by the system.
If there are no additional branches, no further action is required.
Each branch can be associated with one or more contact lists.
Every list is linked to a PIN code, which must be entered in the application installed on your devices.
Entering this PIN code associates the corresponding device with the related list.
You can link an unlimited number of devices to a single PIN code, which is bound to a specific list.
Voluntary Subscription via SMS
With GenioSms, you can easily and automatically manage the subscription and removal of contacts from your lists via SMS.
The system recognizes two main commands: OK and DEL.
When a user sends an SMS containing the word OK to a number linked to a device with the GenioSms app installed, their phone number is automatically added to the list associated with that device.
If multiple devices share the same PIN code, only the first available phone will process the subscription.
Once subscribed, the user will receive campaigns and promotional messages sent through the platform.
From the control panel, you can create an unlimited number of automatic SMS campaigns, which will be sent by all devices configured with the PIN code for that list.
Tip: Encourage your customers to subscribe by offering discounts or exclusive promotions in exchange for signing up.
To unsubscribe, the user simply sends an SMS with the text DEL (uppercase or lowercase):
their number will be automatically removed from the associated list, regardless of how it was originally added, whether manually, imported from the address book, or registered voluntarily with the OK command.
With GenioSms, you offer your users a simple and instant way to subscribe or unsubscribe, ensuring automatic, transparent, and compliant management in line with the best practices for SMS communication.
Manual Phone Number Upload to Lists
With GenioSms, you can easily manage your contacts and populate your recipient lists in just a few clicks.
From the GenioSms app, you can automatically import all contacts from your smartphone’s address book. These imported numbers are added directly to the list associated with your device.
Alternatively, you can manually add or upload lists of phone numbers directly from the online control panel. From there, you can also view, edit, and fully manage all your contact lists independently.
This way, GenioSms gives you maximum flexibility in managing your databases: you can create custom lists, instantly import contacts, and organize your SMS campaigns in a clean, fast, and intuitive way.
Best Communication Practices: Unsubscribe Text and Automatic Messages
It is recommended to include at the end of every SMS a short line informing recipients that they can unsubscribe at any time. For example:
● “To stop receiving messages, reply with DEL.”
When a customer sends DEL, their number is automatically removed from the list, regardless of how it was added (manually, imported from the address book, or subscribed voluntarily using the OK command).
Each time a user subscribes to or unsubscribes from a list, they receive an automatic reply message, which can be fully customized from the control panel.
Example of a subscription message:
● “Thank you for subscribing! Show the following discount code at checkout or on our website to receive 10% off.”
This type of message can also be used to encourage subscriptions by offering exclusive benefits or promotions (for example: “Subscribe now to instantly receive a 10% discount coupon!”).
Example of an unsubscribe message:
● “We’re sorry to see you go from our promotional list. From now on, you will no longer receive our messages.
That’s a shame, we’ll soon be launching some amazing offers! You can re-subscribe at any time by replying with the text OK.”
This approach ensures your customers enjoy transparency, freedom of choice, and clear, personalized communication, enhancing their overall experience with your brand.
